ISCG Conference

The Irish Student Consulting Group (ISCG) Annual Conference is the organisation’s flagship event, bringing together Ireland’s brightest student talent with leaders from the worlds of consulting, start-ups, and industry.

Hosted in partnership with top firms and innovative enterprises, the conference features thought-provoking panel discussions, keynote speakers, and valuable networking opportunities. Each year, attendees gain unique insights into the challenges and opportunities shaping Irish business, while building connections that can spark future collaborations. The event embodies ISCG’s mission to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world business experience, empowering the next generation of problem-solvers and innovators.

One of our biggest events is our London trip. For those unfamiliar, the ISCG London Trip is a 3-day networking experience in the heart of London.

Last year, 40 students were selected from across Ireland, we all flew out and got to visit some of the top finance firms in the London. We had the incredible opportunity to speak to directors, management and more at these companies.

Some of these included Deloitte, BCG, Morgan Stanley, UBS, Simon Kucher, Bloomberg, enterprise Ireland and more.

Case Competition

  • A day long competition where teams are given a brief on an organisation with a problem. Teams then have to carry out deep research, problem-solving and analysis, before presenting conclusions to a judging panel.

  • Each University Branch holds their own competition in January - open to all members. The winners from each branch win a prize + get to compete on a national scale against other branch winners!

  • No prior competition / consulting experience is needed!

ISCG provides case workshops throughout the year, which can help you to understand what a consulting case involves.

Congratulations to this year's Inter-Varsity Winners, from UCD! The very best of luck in the International Finals in London!

The ISCG Case Competition is a challenge designed to give students hands-on experience solving real business problems. It begins at the branch level, where each university branch hosts its own internal competition, typically held in January. These local competitions are open to all ISCG members and serve as the first step in the journey, each member puts together a team to compete.

Winners from each branch then progress to the intervarsity level, where they compete against top teams from other universities across Ireland. The best-performing teams from the national stage are then selected to represent Ireland at the international finals, which are held abroad.

In 2025, for example, the international final took place in London, providing participants with a unique opportunity to showcase their skills on a global platform against the top teams in Europe.
