February

Deloitte: Ask Me Anything on Internships, Placements and Graduate Positions

The ISCG was joined by Deloitte's Campus Engagement Lead, Emer Sherlock, for a Q&A session focusing on Deloitte's early career opportunities in February. The event featured several other speakers from Deloitte's Technology and Business Consulting teams to discuss life at Deloitte and the application process for upcoming roles. IGN Speaker Series in Partnership with ISCG: Charlie Gleeson, CEO of Zipp Mobility The ISCG and Irish Graduates Network (IGN) hosted a speaker series event in Mason Hayes & Curran in which the CEO of former ISCG client Zipp Mobility spoke about his start-up journey.

ISCG National Intervarsity Competition

The ISCG hosted its largest intervarsity competition in January 2022, with 9 universities participating. ISCG Director of Competitions, Cian Davitt, worked closely with the Head of Competitions of each branch to organise a case competition acting as a qualifier round to the National Intervarsity Competition. Each competition featured judges from Lead Sponsor Deloitte and Sponsor Accenture.

ISCG Case Competition (ESCA Qualifiers)

For the fifth year running, the ISCG took part in the European Student Case Competition (ESCC) in 2021. Our first case competition of the year gave all members the chance to compete to join the Irish ESCC team.

ISCG Conference: Meeting the Challenge of Change

The ISCG's inaugural conference featured a wide variety of speakers discussing the theme Meeting the Challenge of Change. The discussion focused on the many types of change facing the consulting industry in 2022 - climate change, a shift to remote working, technological change and many other topics.

Simon Kucher & Partners Consulting Training

In October, the ISCG hosted our inaugural event with coaching partner Simon Kucher & Partners (SKP), one of the world's leading firms in pricing strategy. The event aimed to give our members a greater insight in to the work of a strategy firm and the type of projects completed by SKP. The event consisted of a breakdown of common consulting problems faced in projects, the methods and frameworks used to tackle these problems and a number of project examples from SKP.

Career in Consulting Workshop II

This workshop, also hosted by Sebastien Ritter, aimed to give a deeper insight in to the market sizing aspect of case interviews. The event covered every aspect of market sizing questions and how to approach them, beginning with how an interviewee can clearly define the problem they must solve followed by the different frameworks that can be used to tackle the problem.

Career in Consulting Workshop

Sebastien Ritter, former Head of Consumer Growth at PayPal, lecturer at HEC Paris and founder of Career in Consulting, hosted this event organised by ISCG Director of Membership Development Ciarán McKearney. The event focused on the fundamentals of consulting as a career, the recruitment process for different firms and how to prepare for case study interviews.
